Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing Policy

At ASHK, sustainability is not a marketing line. It is woven into how we source, present and give. This policy sets out our commitments to the planet, to the makers behind our products, and to the community we serve. It reflects our founding belief that beautiful things should never cost the earth, because love is honest.

ASHK is a physical store based at Westfield London. We do not sell online, so much of our impact is shaped by the choices we make in store, in our packaging, and in the makers we choose to work with.

Our packaging promise

We are proud that all of our packaging is 100% recyclable and completely plastic-free, from the outer box down to the wrapping and fillers. There is no plastic anywhere in the pack. We designed it this way on purpose, so that beautiful gifting can be recycled and reused rather than sent to landfill. We keep our materials simple and paper-based so that recycling is effortless for you at home.

Artisan and responsible sourcing

Every product we offer is artisan-sourced. We hand-pick our gift sets, gourmet foods, homeware and fragrances from makers who value craftsmanship and quality over mass production. Wherever we can, we favour a "Local First" approach, honouring our community and our roots at Westfield London, and choosing makers who share our respect for people and materials.

We seek to work with suppliers who:

  • Treat their workers fairly and with dignity.

  • Take pride in the quality and origin of what they make.

  • Share our commitment to reducing waste and avoiding unnecessary plastic.

We believe good sourcing is a relationship, not a transaction, and we build long-term partnerships with makers we trust.

Giving back: girls' education in Türkiye

Shopping with purpose is at the heart of who we are. We donate 1% of our net profit directly to girls' education in Türkiye, helping fund schooling, learning materials and opportunity for girls who might otherwise miss out. Because love is honest, we publish transparent donation reports every quarter, so our community can see exactly how much we have given and when. This is a permanent commitment, not a seasonal campaign.

Reducing waste in store

We aim to run our store thoughtfully. That means minimising waste, reusing and recycling where we can, and choosing suppliers and materials that reflect our values. We continually look for small, practical ways to lower our footprint.

Continuous improvement

We know that being a responsible business is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our packaging, our sourcing and our wider impact, and we welcome ideas and feedback from our community on how we can do better.

A note on scope

ASHK is a small, independent business. While the Modern Slavery Act 2015 formal reporting threshold does not apply to a business of our size, we choose to uphold its principles voluntarily, and we will not knowingly work with suppliers who tolerate forced labour or exploitation.
